The new version of Ubuntu 7.10 is coming out in 2 days ! It’s been about time since I been waiting for this to come out ever since 7.04 was released. That’s the good thing about Linux, that it’s always under constant development, so if your a bleeding edge user like me, you would love this. I tried to give Novell’s openSUSE 10.3 a shot, I wasn’t pleased. Maybe it was because I don’t like Linux much in general. Nothing biased, just my personal opinion. Of course when I argue a point or point something wrong I’m almost never biased ( I can’t say never since I don’t remember lol ).

Mac OS X Leopard 10.5 is coming out in 9 days.. finally? At least it’s still more advanced then everybody.

2 days ago I bought Windows Vista Home Premium and 2 GIGS of DDR2-PC 5300 RAM for my laptop. Vista Home Premium is wonderful since i’m not a gamer anymore ( with exceptions of course ). It’s working great, no bsods, and it’s pretty fast since my laptop only has a Intel Celeron M 1.6 GHZ processor and a Intel GFX 945 Express Chipset. There is one thing that is bothering me.. Don’t you think that Bill Gates has enough money.. If what people are saying it’s true about Windows ‘Vienna’ coming out in 09, then they better make some major and revolutionary changes.. since I don’t see myself buying another Windows version again .. ( that’s what I said about vista… and I still bought it.. probably cause I was on pirated version of XP and had a genuine copy of Home Basic .. but come on .. home basic sux and it’s ugly, I see myself staying on home premium since this version is definitely genuine and it’s not ugly lol ).

Speaking about Windows, Since Bill Gates has enough money, don’t you think that if Vienna sux in 09 he should just make Windows Open Source, This will probably bring contraversy and money loss, but there are so many people that use the Windows OS that maybe Bill can use that to his advantage… There are a lot of good and bad people out there, some hackers just hack the OS to make it better, so people can actually be safer, and the others … well you probably already know what the other hackers do. As I said if Bill uses this to his advantage there will be so many people to help that I can almost guarantee that Windows will be the best, most stable, and most advanced OS in the world.

Thoughts on Halo 3 and XBOX 360

For my birthday I got Halo 3, I’m not very good in halo but it is definetly a fun game. The only problem is that there should have been a MatchMaking system for all the modes not just “Slayer, Team Slayer, ETC”. For example:

Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon TRIBE 5 Thoughts

I installed Ubuntu 7.10 Tribe 5 x64 on my Desktop and I have to say, It’s pretty good for a development branch. I have never used a x64 bit OS before and so I really didn’t feel the difference, but this x64 bit is definetly better then Windows XP Professional x64. On Windows I apsolutely have NO Drivers for nothing. On Ubuntu I have all the drivers, and with a simple “sudo aptitude update && sudo aptitude upgrade && sudo aptitude dist-upgrade”, I receive all my upgrades from the programs to kernel to drivers.

Meditation ?

I started getting into meditation lately. To me meditation is simply a technique you use to help your mind release stress and to improve concentration. What you first want to do is find a place that you are comfortable with. Then after that just close your eyes and concentrate on keeping your breathing in a normal pace. For adults the normal range for breathing is 15-20. For children it is much higher because since children have smaller body parts they tend to breath at a higher range. Children also need the same amount of oxygen as a adult.

Brain Age : Train your brain in minutes a day !

This has to be one of the best games that has ever come out for any system. I purchased this game about 4 days ago and I can feel that my brain is much more relaxed and it responds much more faster to daily activities. In the beginning you usually start with a horrible age. For me it was 80 and that is the worst age possible, but 3 days later after I bought the game my age dropped from 80 to 25.

Humans need daily exercise for the body so there body can be kept in good physical condition, but what most people don’t know is that their brain needs to be kept in good condition as well. The thing is that as humans mature they start losing muscle tissue in there brains. This causes there brain to start forgetting things and react much slower to what they use to do. Brain Age is what you need to exercise your brain.

Thoughts on a few games

I lately started developing a new style of thinking about what I actually want with anything.. Meaning that “Do I really want to buy this device or console?”, well it basically is just asking yourself questions in your head or out loud which ever works for you best. One thing is that I wanted to get a Xbox 360 just for Halo 3. Halo 3 is going to be a great game just as it’s predecessors were, but you have to take something into consideration… Xbox 360 has major brick problems, so probably most of your time with your Xbox will probably be while your sending it back to Microsoft so they can fix it for you .

Console systems or PC systems? Well for my gaming on a PC is retarded at the moment. This mentality started after I used Linux, Since Linux doesn’t have much compatable games .. well then you start looking for alternatives, but there is good in this. One thing is that you don’t have to waste much money on a expensive gaming PC, and also if you use a gaming system then the game you buy for it will be fully optimized for that specific system . That also means that you would want to pick a system for the type of games that you like and also for its stability. Now when it comes to the games I want to play it all comes down to Nintendo in general. They have the games I like, there all fun, and there all to the point.

That brings me to a game that I find very fun and effective. The game is for the Nintendo DS, and it is called Brain Age. This game basically trains your brain to think faster using Easy math problems and other algorithms that have been tested by a neuroscientist. Switching back to Windows

I decided to switch to Windows a few months ago actually. I just never got the time to post it up on the blog. One thing that inspired me to post up things back on my blog was watching Derek Miller’s Cancer Story on Youtube.com. That was totally of topic but yes it is understandable. Anyways back to the title, I got a new laptop about two months ago, it was a Acer Aspire 3680, it works fine with Windows Vista Home Basic after you upgrade it to one gigabyte of ram.

The thing is that Linux wasn’t offering me the desktop usage that I needed, neither does a Mac OS X, and surprisingly I wanted a Mac, but the thing that also factors in a lot is my budget. As a 15 year old ( 16 on September 26 ) I don’t get as much money as I normally would and so getting a $1100.00 dollar computer is not really a option ( yes i’m going to get a job soon lol ).

When I program in C++ I make up these scenarios. The scenarios are based on VERY basic things like just adding two numbers together. This is one of those codes that takes two numbers and adds them together, the only difference is, I added a hint of imagination .

It
all started when I was going out with Isabelle. We were just starting
to get to know each other, but I really liked her. We were talking on
the phone when my uncle came into my room and wanted to hear my
conversation with her. I quickly locked the door and surprisingly he
managed to open it. He made up a lame excuse like “I just
wanted to tell you something”. Apparently he doesn’t know me very
well.

 

After
that I got him out of my room, I asked Isabelle if she wanted to go
to the local movie theater “Alpine”, she said she couldn’t, and
so I broke up with her. I went by myself to Alpine. Luckily I went on
the day that Alpine was doing there event called “Get to know you”,
the way this worked is that everyone that was watching the same movie
would line up from right to left, then 1 person after the other would
walk up to end of the line and check out the last person in the row.
This really hot white brunette checked ME out !! She was smiling
while she was doing it but I think she was just being nice. When
another white kid walked by me, Lisa “the girl that checked me out”
automatically said “Oh baby” which just made my laugh. Time
continued and the movie started.

 

The
way that the seats were arranged were in a “Mac OS X Expo Style”,
It would be a seat on the floor and then right above your sear there
would be another seat, it kinda was floating. As I was sitting down,
this girl called Rachel starts talking to me.

 

Rachel
: “You
know that girl Lisa?”

Me
: “Yeah.”

Rachel
: “She ain’t what she looks like to be.”

Me
: “She
looks pretty good to me.”

Rachel
: “I’m
going to kill her tonight !”

Me
: “NO
! Don’t do that !”

 

After
that we went to our seats. I looked to my left and there’s Bill. Bill
is just a normal guy. Right behind bill is Rachel, behind me is this
female FBI agent “which you can tell she is a FBI agent, she ain’t
very good at hiding her identity”, and next to the agent is Lisa.
Everyone is watching the movie at this point, I decide to get out and
go look at the sky outside. It was about 8:30 PM, as I walked
outside, I looked to a beige car that was parked next to the train
station entrance. I really couldn’t see the people that were in the
car because of the heavy rain. I slowly started figuring out who was
in the car by putting together the small fragments that I saw. The
person in the car was none other then Mr.Levy, my junior high school
math teacher. He was talking on his cell phone with his girlfriend
Leslie. I could tell he was talking to Leslie because of the cell
phones rays. I somehow could grab there vocal patterns and there
rays to translate to my brain there voices and there locations.
Leslie was on the corner of the street, and let me tell you, she
looked great from behind, meaning that she looked like she was in
college while Mr.Levy was 62. The rain continued to pour. I then
deciided to go back to Alpine and finish the movie. Alpine had a foam
bubble design ask you walked on. This created a 3D effect called
“swimming”. I walked into the theater and sat down. I looked
around and I don’t see the FBI agent nor do I see Lisa. It kinda felt
weird not having them around. Well I continued to watch the movie
when Bill grabbed my hand and started questioning me about Lisa’s
death.

 

Bill
: “Do
you know anything about Lisa’s death?”

Me
: “Lisa?
What !!”

Bill
: “Yeah,
she died and I’m just looking for information.”

 

I
looked over to Rachel which was sitting right next to Bill, my mind
was asking questions because I fell in love with Lisa the moment I
saw her, and then Rachel comes and just kills her ? It all didn’t
make sense yet alone that Bill wasn’t a FBI agent, he is just a
normal guy. I zoned back into reality and I think to myself “It was
all Rachel’s fault. I can’t let this bitch get away with this.”

 

Me
: “It’s
all your fault Rachel. I can’t let you get away with this.”

 

Rachel
got nervous and mad, she grabs a pencil that was on her lap and
breaks it. She doesn’t know what to do next. Bill looks at me.

Bill
: “Well
that’s all.”

 

He
quickly gets up and leaves, but as he was leaving he revealed a wire
around his neck. I followed him to find him in the lobby. A worker
walks up to me and tells me that Mr.Kowzlowzski “a top FBI agent”
came to talk to me about the case of “LISA’s DEATH”, I tell him
that I want to put a federal referral on Bill. He quickly makes a
call to Mr.Kowzlowzski and then walks back to me. The worker gives me
a federal receipt that he received via fax. The receipt just says who
,what,when,where,why, just information on the complaint. I walked
out. Time continues. I walked back into the theater to find
Mr.Kowzlowzski waiting for me. I go up to him and shake his hand.

 

Me
: “Hello
Mr.Kowzlowski, How are you?”

Mr.Kowzlowzski
: “I’m
fine, call me K. Let’s get down to business.”

Me
: “Bill
is a strange guy. I think he is hiding something, we should go talk
to him.”

K
: “Why?
What’s wrong?”

Me
: “I
think he knows something about Lisa’s death and now he is trying to
frame me or kill me. He probably is working with Rachel.

K
: “Hmm,
Let’s go talk to him.”

 

We
walked outside in search of him. He was standing outside looking at
the streets. It was still raining.

 

K
: “We
have a few questions to ask you.”

Bill
: “Me?
For what?”

K
: “Jon
thinks you are involved with Lisa’s murder.”

Bill
: “No
I am not.”

 

I
think to myself, forget the questions, check him for wires.

K
grabs Bill, Bill struggles to get K off, I see the wire sticking out
of his white collar.

 

Me
: “There
! In his collar !”

 

K
finds the wire with his eye. Bill gets really scared and tries a hit
and run, only to fail. He then takes out a pistol, K counters it and
takes out his pistol, I quickly back away and pull out my pistol. It
only has two shots. Bill starts shooting out at me and K.
Surprisingly we both didn’t get hit. I then dive to the floor and
simultaneously shot right next to his right leg, but I missed. I then
shot a random bullet to the sky. I now have no ammunition. Bill takes
his chance to get me back, he fires his pistol to only end with no
prevail. K quickly throws the modular bay towards Bill and it is
successful. The modular bay converts humans into data and traps them
in a virtual jail inside the modular bay. The victim is held there
until the capturer decrypts his body file and downloads him out.

 

Me
: “What
is that?”

K
: “It’s
a white modular bay. Information about it is classified.”

 

As
the geek I am I quickly grab the module and start to feel the
texture, observing the colors, you can actually feel Bill’s movements
inside this piece of device.

 

Me
: “What
is this running? Windows?”

K
: “I
think it’s running Hubuntu Linux *Human Linux*.”

Me
: “Nice.”

 

After
that we just walked our separate ways.
